Terms of Use

To use NikahOne, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be legally eligible for marriage under the laws of your country or jurisdiction
• Provide accurate, truthful, and complete information during registration
• Not have been previously suspended or permanently banned from NikahOne
• Comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws

You agree to use NikahOne respectfully and in accordance with Islamic values and these Terms. The following activities are strictly prohibited:

• Harassment, abuse, threats, or intimidation of other users
• Sharing explicit, obscene, or sexually inappropriate content
• Impersonating another person or creating a fake profile
• Soliciting money, gifts, or financial favours from other users
• Using the platform for advertising, commercial solicitation, or spam
• Scraping, crawling, or extracting user data by automated means
• Attempting to reverse-engineer, hack, or compromise the app or its infrastructure
• Sharing other users' personal information without their explicit consent
• Using NikahOne for any purpose other than finding a spouse through halal means

• All profile information must be accurate, honest, and kept up to date
• Profile photos must be recent, clearly show your face, and must be of you only
• You must not use AI-generated, heavily edited, or misleading photos
• You are responsible for all activity on your account
• We reserve the right to request verification of any profile information
• Submitting false information is a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate termination

A. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to NikahOne (photos, bio, messages). By uploading content, you grant NikahOne a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and display that content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

You represent and warrant that you own or have the right to upload all content you submit, and that doing so does not infringe any third party's rights.

B. NikahOne's Intellectual Property

All platform features, design, code, logos, trademarks, and content created by NikahOne are the exclusive property of NikahOne. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written permission.

C. Content You Must Not Upload

• Content you do not have rights to
• Photos or videos of other people without their consent
• Copyrighted material owned by third parties
• Content that violates any applicable law

NikahOne uses End-to-End Encryption (E2EE) for all messages. This means:

• Your private encryption key is generated on your device — NikahOne never has access to it
• We cannot read, recover, or decrypt your messages under any circumstances
• If you lose your private key (by logging out, uninstalling, or changing devices) without a backup, your messages are permanently unreadable
• You are solely responsible for creating and securely storing your backup password
• NikahOne cannot reset or recover your backup password

• We reserve the right to review, remove, or restrict any content or profile that violates these Terms
• Users can report violations, fake profiles, or inappropriate behaviour directly from within the app
• We will investigate reports and take appropriate action, which may include warnings, suspension, or permanent ban
• Because messages are end-to-end encrypted, we cannot proactively moderate message content — users should report abusive behaviour using the in-app report function
• Repeated violations will result in permanent account termination

Billing

Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or as specified at the time of purchase). Payments are processed through our authorised payment gateway.

All prices are displayed in INR (₹) and may include applicable taxes. By purchasing a subscription, you authorise us to automatically charge the applicable subscription fee for each billing cycle unless cancelled.

We reserve the right to revise subscription pricing at any time. Any changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance and will apply to future billing cycles only.

Cancellation

For subscriptions purchased through our payment gateway, we currently do not provide an in-app cancellation option.

To cancel your subscription, you must contact our support team at support@nikahone.com with your registered account details.

Upon receiving a valid cancellation request:

• Your subscription will be marked for cancellation
• Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period
• You will continue to have access to premium features until the billing period expires

To avoid being charged for the next billing cycle, cancellation requests must be submitted at least 48 hours before the renewal date.

Refunds

All payments are non-refundable except as expressly stated below.

Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of purchase. Refunds will only be granted in cases where a verified technical issue has prevented access to the service and is attributable to us.

No refunds will be provided:

• After 7 days from the date of purchase
• For partially used subscription periods
• Due to change of mind or personal circumstances
• For failure to cancel before the renewal date
• If the account is found to be in violation of these Terms

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• You must not share your account with any other person
• You must notify us immediately at support@nikahone.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
• NikahOne will never ask for your password by email, SMS, or phone
• We are not liable for losses resulting from your failure to keep your credentials secure

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
• Guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses
• Guarantee of a successful matrimonial match
• Accuracy or reliability of any user-provided content or profiles

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NikahOne and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• The conduct, actions, or misrepresentations of other users
• The accuracy of user-provided profile information
• Outcomes, harm, or losses arising from meetings or relationships formed through the platform
• Technical issues, service interruptions, or data loss
• Loss of encrypted messages due to lost encryption keys or backup passwords
• Unauthorised access to your account resulting from your failure to secure credentials

In no event shall NikahOne's aggregate liability exceed the amount you paid to NikahOne in the 3 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless NikahOne and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses — including reasonable legal fees — arising out of or in any way connected with (a) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms, (b) your User Content, or (c) your violation of any rights of another user or third party.

By You

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account, or by emailing support@nikahone.com. For full details on data deletion, see our Privacy Policy – Section 12 →

By NikahOne

• We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for any violation of these Terms
• We may terminate accounts with 30 days' notice for any other reason
• Termination for policy violations is not eligible for a refund

NikahOne reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via an in-app notification or push notification. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

Your use of NikahOne is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy explains:

• What personal data we collect and why
• What Android permissions we use and for what purpose (including POST_NOTIFICATIONS)
• How your data is protected and encrypted
• Your data rights, including access, correction, and deletion
• Our Google Play Data Safety disclosures
• How to request account and data deletion

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably through good-faith negotiations within 30 days of written notice.

If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, India.
